Welcome to our home on the web. We are located north of Weekes, Saskatchewan right next to the forestry in the heart of some of the best hunting in the country.
We run a large cattle operation, are involved in the forestry industry and Wade is also project manager for Goldsource Mines out of Vancuver, BC. Thus making it a very hectic schedule.
Wade grew up with no other choice but to have a life involving horses. He is a third generation pony chuckwagon driver. He has drove wagons all across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. And his passion for racing has taken him as far south as Salt Lake City Utah, Sacramento California, St. Louis Missouri, Devner Colorado, and Columbus Ohio.
Wade has won several chamionships and Dash For Cash's. Some of the more notables are 1997 World Finals Champion at the age of only 18 being the youngest driver ever to do so. 2003 Canadian Finals Champion. 2011 Ponoka Stampede $10,000 Dash For Cash Champion. Most of his succes has been as a result of hard work, and an excellent thoroughbred breeding program raising and training all of our own horses.
I was also raised into a horse loving family, with my dad having running quarter horses at the track when I was younger. I started 4-H when I was 6 years old, and spent my younger years showing at local rairs and sports days. I have won provincial titles in Western Pleasure and Western Riding Pattern. Whenever there wasn't a horse show to attend my dad would haul me and my horse to every gymkhana fallowing the pony chuckwagon circuit.
We have rode and trained some great horses and now Wade and I have purchased some outstanding mares and a new stud "Touch Of Virtue" to start our own breeding program.
For 2012 we have increased our broodmare band to 12 high quality mares. Our mares are own daughters of Juscash, Southern Cartel, On A High, Crimewave, Hawkinson, Runaway Winner, and more. We feel that we have very powerful mare power, and look forward to the 2012 babies to start hitting the ground.
We follow the AllPro Taste The Dust Tour in Alberta racing all summer, and sometimes get the chance to come home and run the odd show with our home club Eastern Professional Chariot and Chuckwagon Association (EPCCA).
The EPCCA has gymkhana at all of their shows, so our young horses get exposed to alot getting started on barrels, poles, and the stake race.
Our race season starts out mid to late May with our first stop in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and ends the middle of September. You can check out our schedule for races in Alberta http://allprochuckwagon.com/ and our Saskatchewan shows at http://www.epcca.org/.
Maybe we'll see you down the road somewhere!!
